Museo del Novecento is part of the overall context of the old centre of Mestre and is located near the ancient Convento delle Grazie, reconnecting past and present through the urban revitalization of a space dedicated to commerce and the history of the ‘900.
Thanks to the brilliance of a polychromatic ceramic façade, M9 aims to create a new space and a new identity for the city. The complex includes the main museum building, in which a small space is reserved for the museum’s administrative offices and a large space dedicated to trade has been created within the former Convento delle Grazie.
Engineering and architectural solutions merge to create a building that aims to emphasize the use of public space and sustainability. Innovative solutions and meticulous attention to detail in design, together with a careful lighting and acoustic analysis permit the exploitation of an extremely efficient shell, in which the use of natural light predominates.
SCE Project has been involved in the full service design (architectural, structural and MEPF) for the concept, developed and technical and construction design phases and in the construction management.
